The Wildkats took a short drive up to Rock Hollow in Peru to participate in the 2025 Sectionals. The Kats knew if they could shoot 340 or better that they had a great shot of making it into Regionals as a team. Well, 341 was the third place score, but the Kats shot 350 and for the third year in a row failed to move on. The silver lining, though, is that Sophomore Ashtyn Goff carded an 81, which was a whopping 19 strokes better than his score last year, and that was enough to earn him a spot in Thursdays Regional at Stonehenge. Mitchell McClelland shot an 84 and was just three strokes off the pace. Nathan Lay shot 92 and Jack Verlee shot 93. Both were playing in their first Sectional match. It was a great season for the Kats. They won several dual matches, the Tipton/Howard Invite as well as NCC. The Kats did this all without a senior on the team. The future looks good for these guys!
