Varsity vs Huntington North Game 2 Saturday was very exciting! Still low on regular pitching, the Kats were able to compete. Logan Dockemeyer started on the mound and lasted three innings. Harry Blake made his first mound appearance this season having a good fourth inning and getting us out of a jam. Eli Roe came in to finish the last three innings, he kept us in the game but lost it in the seventh to a walk off error behind him. JJ Gillespie had his first home run of the year. Jonathon Frye had a multi hit game. Eli Roe, Landon Gibson, and Connor Morgan all had hits. Morgan’s hit was a clutch two out bases loaded with full count shot up the middle to score two runs. It was a very fun game, we just couldn’t close the door. Kats are now 8-7 and play Lawrence Central away next Tuesday. Go Kats!
