Varsity vs WesDel & University 2025 Trailblazer Classic Our Kats had a dominant win over WesDel in the opening game behind Miles Cunningham’s complete game 14 strikeout performance in his first start of the season. Cunningham’s defense matched with Logan Dockemeyer going 4-4, 3 run, 2 rbi, 4 stolen base performance and Cameron Parks going 3-4, 2 run, 3 rbi, 3 stolen base performance we were able to advance easily. In the championship game we had a thriller! Ben Carey started the game and went six strong innings keeping the Kats in the game. Logan Dockemeyer came in relief to get the win only surrendering one hit in five innings. JJ Gillespie, Issac Flamino, and Brighton Harris were strong at the plate with two hits each. Extra base hits came from freshman J. Frye hitting a triple on his first varsity hit. Gillespie and Ethan Merrell both had doubles. The Kats stole bases with ease during the tournament, with the winning play coming on a third base steal from Brighton Harris causing an error on the throw allowing Harris to score in the eleventh inning! Kats are the 2025 Trailblazer Classic Champions! We play a conference game at home Monday versus Richmond. Go Kats!
