Very proud of our girls track and field team placing 5th today even though we decided to not field any relays. Morgan and Gretchen raced very well in the 1600 and 3200 scoring for the Wildkats. Nevaeh was 8th in the 400. Jhaz and Giyanna placed 1-2 in both the 100 hurdles and 300 hurdles with Giyanna running a personal best in the 300s. Ja’Layia continues racing well in the 800 placing 4th with a personal best and also placed 4th in pole vault with a personal best. Mariah sped to a personal best in the 200. Throwers Mia and Keaira were consistent in the shot put and discus while Ilana was 6th in the high jump and Maddie was 8th with a personal best. Leadership and team culture continue to be highlights for our team! Our next meet will be Tuesday night at home with senior night. Great job Kats!
