Kokomo Athletics

The Kokomo Girls Track and Field team competed in a dual meet with Logansport with a 64-59 narrow loss. Morgan Rakestraw won the 1600. Tia Williams won the long jump and was 2nd in the 200 meters in a season best time. Akiera Huntsman won the 200 meters in 28.0 and was on the winning 4 x 100 meter relay team. Ja'Layia Williams placed 2nd in the 800 in a season best time and was 2nd in the Pole Vault. Giyanna Thorton won the 100 hurdles, 2nd in the 300 hurdles and was part of the 4 x 100 winning team. Mia Hancock was 3rd in the Shot Put and Kiera Harmon was 3rd in the Discus. Jhazlyn McKay won the 100 meters in a very quick time of 12.6, anchored the winning 4 x 100 meter relay and set a school record in the 300 hurdles in a time of 46.1.
