Wow! I am so proud of our girls! We have Zionsville (along with Carmel, Westfield, Brownsburg, etc) in our regionals, so Harrison Hills made the course like a college course! 6200 yards is a girls college course length, and it was over 6100 yards. It is already Hilly with deep traps and water in troublesome places, but our girls handled it like champs! Course management was a must and the the girls were up for the challenge. I am comparing it this way. Zionsville shot a 266 at sectional and a 287 yesterday (+21 strokes) We shot a 398 at sectionals and a 422 yesterday (+24 strokes), Western shot a 379 at sectionals and a 421 yesterday (+42 strokes) Eastern shot a 386 at sectionals and a 475 yesterday (+89 stroke) So as you can see, we accomplished a great deal yesterday!!!! Playing the hardest course of the year and only adding 24 strokes means that we know course management and had ZERO seniors on the course! We are looking to train over the winter with weights and cardio to make sure that our stamina can withstand another year of 95+ temps and heat and getting back out there for golf workouts at the beginning of July again!
