On Saturday in the Wildcat Classic the boys placed 19th in the big school race that saw us race against some great competition. This week we worked on getting out at the start of the race and not getting boxed in. The guys did a better job of avoiding that this week and several of our times dropped as a result. Reece Wright was the first Kat in as he set a season best time of 17:44, just missing her PR by 2 seconds. Reece does a good job of working his way up in the race and then still having some kick left to hold off racers at the line. Leo Serra was next in with a PR time of 18:04, just a few seconds off his PR. Reece and Leo have done well working together this season and both are dropping time each week. Arthur Leodido was next in as he set a PR with a time of 18:19 and teammate Monte Bunn was right behind with a time of 18:20. Tanner Workman(19:25), Odin Salinas(21:23), & Jimo Lee(22:32) each had massive PR's as they had fantastic races. Our guys continue to grow with each other every week and continue to show improvement as we work on different areas of weakness each week. We will be off this week from racing and will only practice to give us a mental break from racing and sharpen our skills. We will get to work and get ready for our next meet on September 26th in the Culver Academies Invite. Go Kats! Coach Ousley
