The lady Kats kicked off on a beautifully sunny morning on Saturday. After multiple days of extreme heat, the ladies were ready to go hard. With plenty of midfield action and give and gos on the outside, the Lady Kats threaded the first goal of the game in the first 10 minutes after a free kick was given to the Kats. Izzy Riggs kicked a beautiful ball in the top left corner. With a goal under their belts, the ladies continued with control of the ball and complete passes throughout the first half. About halfway through the game, with a few breakdowns, Richmond was got in three goals, making the ending score of the first half 1-3. The second half kicked off with a lot of positive things! There were completed passes and lots of drives up the sideline with crosses being met in the middle. Isla Duncan followed up a shot from Mattie Rayl to score another one for the Lady Kata! While lots of effort and positivity was given by the Lady Kats, Richmond pulled through to score another goal making the final score 2-4. Lots of positive things from the lady Kats as they continue to build and learn! The lady Kats return for another home game on Tuesday to face the Rochester Lady Zebras. Shoutout to the JV who came through with a win! With goals from Lillian Ekola, Karla Giler, and Amoree Anderson, the JV team dominated on possession and shots on goal! 4-0 for the JV team!!
