Kats season comes to a close in sectionals against a solid Westfield team. The Kats fell 0-3 but continued to improve and compete harder each set after a slow start. 10-25, 13-25, 19-25. Sophomore Cooper Cardwell led the offense with 9 kills, while senior Michal Soltysiak added 6 kills. Arthur Dias finished with 3 kills and Luca Bulgueroni added 2 kills. Owen Downing contributed 6 digs defensively. The growth of this team from the beginning of the season to now has been incredible to watch. The record and scoreboard may not fully reflect the progress this group made, but the strides they took individually and as a team were huge. Watching everything begin to come together as a cohesive unit throughout the season was something special. So proud of these guys for stepping out of their comfort zones, embracing a new sport, and continuing to battle every single day. Best of luck to our seniors — Luca Bulgueroni, Arthur Dias, Michal Soltysiak and manager Jailen Carsen — thank you for helping build this program.
