The Kokomo High School boys cross-country team turned in an impressive performance at the fast-paced Brownsburg Invitational, placing 16th overall in a deep and competitive field. Senior Cooper Cage led the Kats with a stellar run, finishing 15th overall in a personal-record time of 15:48. The mark not only secured a top-20 finish but also ranks him second all-time in Kokomo program history. Teammate Preston Arreola also delivered a historic effort, recording a PR of 16:28, which now places him 11th on the school’s all-time list. Senior Ben Wallace continued the trend of career-best races, posting a personal-record time of 17:22. Sophomore Reece Wright turned in a season-best performance of 18:42, while classmate Leo Serra had a breakout day with a personal-record time of 18:43. With multiple athletes putting their name in the record books and achieving personal milestones, the Kats are hitting their stride. The team looks to carry this momentum into next week when they compete at the Wildcat Classic at Indiana Wesleyan University in Marion.
