Varsity vs Western High School (3 - 1) Win The Lady Kats opened the season with a statement win at Western, knocking off the Panthers in four sets (23-25, 27-25, 26-16, 25-18). It marks Kokomo’s second straight victory over Western, after breaking a long drought last year — their first win since 2016. Myla Lacy led the way with 13 kills and 6 aces, while Bella Richards added 12 kills and 6 blocks. Torre Willis paced the offense with 24 assists, and Tia Williams held down the defense with 20 digs. Fueled by a loud student section and strong fan support, the Lady Kats showed grit and focus to set the tone for the season. Kats are back in action Thursday at home vs. North Miami — JV at 6 PM and varsity to follow. Let's go Lady Kats!
