Kokomo Athletics

The Wildkats raced in the Northwestern combine last night and placed 3rd overall. Overall we had some good performers as this was our first race of the season and we were able to knock some rust off. Preston Arreola led our team with a 4th place finish and a PR time of 9:57. Preston has had a great summer and this race was a good starting point for him for the season. Teammate Ben Wallace also had a solid outing as he set a PR of 10:57 to be the second Kat in. Our sophomore group of Reece Wright, Leo Serra, Owen Downing, & Henry King-Brown rounded out our varsity as all four improved their times from last season. We are excited to get our season started as we race our first 5k this upcoming Saturday at Logansport in the tough Jacob Graf Invite. Wish the Kats luck as our racing season is officially here.
