The Lady Kats came up just short in a hard-fought 45–42 battle against an undefeated Lewis Cass team (4–0). Despite trailing by 16 with just three minutes left, Kokomo stormed back with relentless grit, leadership, and poise. Out of a late timeout, the Kats executed perfectly and got a clean look to tie the game, but the shot just missed. Lewis Cass’ hot shooting in the fourth quarter proved to be the difference, but the Lady Kats will grow from this tough, competitive loss. Kokomo freshmen Taniyah Jones and Ziyae Tyler gave great minutes off the bench to help the Lady Kats make a run in the fourth quarter. Amara Stroman sparked the offense with a hot hand, scoring 16 points and shooting 40% from three. Eliana Stewart filled the stat sheet with 8 points and 6 steals. Jhordyn Brown added 8 points and dominated the glass with 8 rebounds. Akiera Huntsman battled inside all night, pulling down 7 rebounds. Satyra Scott brought relentless defensive energy, finishing with 5 points, 5 rebounds, and 3 steals.
