Lady Kats Top West Lafayette with Speed and Team Play The Kokomo Lady Kats defeated West Lafayette 56-36 with a dominant display of speed, aggressiveness, and unselfish basketball. Kokomo tallied 15 assists on the night, consistently finding open teammates and moving the ball with purpose. After a slow start, the Lady Kats’ defense came alive in the second quarter, forcing turnovers and finishing with 14 steals. Satyra Scott led the way with 17 points, while freshman Taniyah Jones added 10 points and 5 rebounds. Eliana Stewart filled the stat sheet with 9 points, 4 assists, 4 rebounds, and 5 steals. Jhordyn Brown made her presence felt inside with 8 points, an impressive 10 rebounds, and 3 steals. Amara Stroman directed the offense efficiently, leading the team with 5 assists.
